The team were in action in Kent Park on Friday evening. The team were short a good number of lads but were in with a shout until the final 15 minutes.

In the first half we played a good possession game and were running well off the ball into positions of danger but our final efforts did not yield a great return. At halftime we were losing 1-5 v 0-3.

We missed an early free but two Stevie Curley efforts brought us back into the game. At this point the home team got a handy goal when a free drifted all the way to the net. Arthur Beardshall made a few good saves but could do nothing with the next goal. John Cullen had to come off at this stage to be replaced by the "Stork" Shane Feeney.

A great piece of tigerish play saw Vincent Howley intercept and play in Stevie Kilgallon who then left the "Stork" with a one on one with the keeper where for the first time this year he hit the net and proceeded to do a lap of honour on his sweet strike. However this did not stop the home team who drove home the advantage in the last few minutes.
