Played in Easkey on Saturday evening the team forged out a victory that showed there is a lot of work to do before we play group c winners St.Farnans in the county quarter final.

We dominated most of the proceedings particularly around the middle of the field but we did not reflect that on the scoreboard. In fact it took us 17 minutes to register our first score from a free from Eamon Cawley. in the course of the first half we hit 12 wides but lead at the break 5 v 1.

We started the second half in good fashion and had a point from the throw in. 10 minutes into the second half we made the breakthrough when the Enniscrone keeper palmed down a high ball Paul Kilcullen was on it like a shot and fired to the roof of the net. He was unlucky a minute later when an Eoin Flynn strike at goal came back on the post but Paul NBA like tapped it over the bar. We won comfortably 1-8 v 0-5 but the lads will know that they need to be more clinical when in shooting range
