For the first time in 14 years the team were playing in the county semi final.

We got off to a flying start with two Kevin Langan points from frees after fouls on Niall Judge and Langan himself. Drumcliffe took a grip on the game after this and though Langan scored another free we trailed by 3 at ht thanks in part to a great save by Anthony Kilcullen and David Fox.

We started the second half better but we were playing poorly, however a high centre caught by Niall Judge ended with Paul Kilcullen scoring a goal. It was nip and tuck tiil the end. In the 55th minute we took the lead and held that till the 66th minute (where there was 7 minutes of injury time this writer has no clue) Drumcliffe got a lucky point.

The game finished 1-8 v 0-11
