Cuilbeg in Carraroe was full of helter skelter and excitment as this game went down to the last kick of the game.

The first half was a close tight affair with both teams missing a good number of chances. The points we got where from good team work and men coming through the middle. Eoin Flynn, Alan Naughton and Ciarán Kilcullen scored our points at this time and at the half time break we trailed by 2 (5-3) but were still up on aggregate by 6 points.

Like the first half it was up and down with Eoin Flynn and Ciarán Kilcullen scoring points to maintain the aggregate advantage. Then Johns scored a goal into the top corner to tighten things. They scored the next two points. We got some relief when Alan Naughton scored from out on the right. Then with 5 minutes remaining Johns took the lead on aggregate with their second goal. It was a frantic finish with both sides having chances but not taking them.

Then Eoin Kent broke out of defence and sprinted close to 100m with the ball before offloading to Pat "Bomber" Cleary who drove to the net to put us in front. We held on for the final minute to snatch victory from seemingly defeat. Well done to the lads who played and travelled.

Team: Brian Feeney, Conor Judge, Ronan Barrett, Eoin Kent, Frank Barrett, Darragh Gilmartin, Alan Naughton(0-3), Morgan Fitzsimons, Ciarán Kilcullen(0-2), Eoin Flynn(0-2), Ultan McGranahan, Patrick Cleary(1-0), Bart Barrins, Shane Feeney
