This was a strange game with Pats dominant for 3/4 of the game but then with 4 minutes to go there was only 2 points in it.

We got off to a horrendous start and after 20 minutes we trailed 2-8 v 0-2. As the half came to a close we got more into it and scored a goal from who else but Ronan Murphy, to trail 2-9 v 1-2.

The second half was a much closer affair and when Seán Carrabine floated a ball to the net this was quickly followed by a pile driver from Murphy again. This brought the home team within sight and a good move from Luke Munnelly and a floated pass from Ronan Murphy found Dáire Barrins free on the back post and he drove acorss the keeper into the net. This was quickly followed by a long range point from Seán Carrabine to put the game in the melting pot with only two points between the teams. However Pats got two points and in the final attack of the game scored a fortuitous goal.

It was another great never say die game from our very young team who will meet Drumcliffe in the next round at home.
