The team have reached the B final for the third year in a row. We did not show our best in this game and should have had a lot more scores on the board. However the defence can be very happy with their games as the only score conceded was a close in free.

It took a lot of huff and puff before finally we got a score when Elliot Beardshall deflected a long delivery into the net. We hit a string of wides at this stage but eventually we got a second goal when Micheál Cahill drove an over the shoulder shot to the net. Drumcliffe broke down the field near the half time whistle and from a free drove to the roof of the net leaving the half time score 2-0 v 1-0.

We drove forward from the throw in but managed to squander a number of chances before Seán Carrabine scored a good long range point. This was followed moments later by a goal from Dáire Barrins who finished to the net after a good save by the visiting keeper.

We continued to control the game but did not put it on the scoreboard. At this time the defence of Ruairí Gallagher, James Boland, Brian Durkan, Kenneth Flynn and Jason Tuffy put in some great hooks and blocks. Stephen Tuffy put in a very hard hours work and was the perfect foil for Carrabine who scored two further great points from out far. Oisín Flynn was a great outlet for the defence with Micheál Cahill going on some great solo runs. Elliot Beardshall, Fergal Boland and Dáire Barrins kept the inside line busy but will have to take more of the chances the next day.

Team: Ruairí Gallagher, James Boland, Brian Durkan, Kenneth Flynn, Jason Tuffy, Seán Carrabine(0-3), Stephen Tuffy, Micheál Cahill(1-0), Oisín Flynn, Elliot Beardshall(1-0), Fergal Boland, Dáire Barrins(1-0)
