A strong wind towards Curry village meant this was a game where scores were hard come by when against it but you had to make the most of it when it was with you.

We got off to a flyer against the breeze when Stevies Curley scored 1-1 in the first 4 mins but missed a chance just after. Curry came back into but with 5 minutes to go they lead 1-5 v 1-4 with our other points coming from Kevin McDonnell(2) and Ciarán Kilcullen. But a bad last 5 saw us going in at the break 2-8 v 1-4.

We got going in the second half with some long range points from Kevin McDonnell(2) and Eoin Flynn. We brought the lead down to 3 on two ocassions with scores from Cian Barrins, Stevie Curley scored two great points and  from the wing before Kevin McD finished to the bottom of the net to equalise with 3 minutes to go. Curry went up the field to score what they thought was the winning point but a monster free from Kevin McD close on 55m out sailed through the posts to finish normal time 2-11 each.

We had the elements at the start of the first half of extra time and scored two quick points but found it hard to score for the remainder of the half till a superb pass to Stevie Curley saw him finish to the roof of the net to leave us leading by 5 at the break.

Within 4 minutes of the restart the lead was gone but our lads showed great heart and despite going a point down dominated the last few minutes when Shane Wright was pulled down near goal Kevin McD scored an outside of the right foot free.

When the referee blew the final whistle the teams could not be separated at 3-14 each.
