The match was played in Corballa with a gale force breeze down Kilcullens hill. The visitors had the breeze and hill in the first half and they put it to good use going 4 points up after 8 minutes. At this point John McDonnell and Jason Earlis began to get all the breaks and Kevin McDonnell drove at the visitors defence.

Matthew Cullen got a good point from play and this was followed by a goal from John McDonnell after a Stevie Curley effort was caught by the breeze and Doogie Kilcullen played John in. Cullen scored again from play. The visitors got two quick points and but for the vigilance of Conor Judge and Keith Earlis they could have got in for a goal. Kevin McDonnell made another run at the defence and looked like he was stuck when he switched to his left and drove to the roof of the net. Pats scored again to leave the halftime score 2-2 v 0-8

We got off to a flyer in the second half and points from Curley, Cullen and two from Jason Earlis meant we were cruising. However Pats did not give up and desereved the goal they scored to bring it back level with 10 to go. Keith Foody scored and further points from Kevin McDonnell and Cullen meant we eased out to win with Cian Barrins scoring the final point.

We have now qualified for the playoffs.
