AGM
We held our Annual General Meeting on Sunday 6th December. The AGM this year was a first as it was held completely virtually using Microsoft Teams as a result of COVID 19 restrictions. Secretary, Sarah Jones, began the meeting by reading the previous years minutes. Sarah then read her secretaries report, giving a detailed summary of the year gone by with particular focus on the action on the field. Sarah thanked the rest of the executive for their work during the year and thanked all volunteers, parents and coaches for their efforts.Treasurer Ollie McHale gave an overview of the club finances before Chairperson Noel Gallagher addressed the meeting. Noel began by answering some questions that had been submitted by email prior to the meeting.
Noel then thanked all the volunteers, helpers and sponsors. He made reference to the difficult year that we have all had to endure and credited the parish for pulling together in these tough times. Noel thanked the lotto committee for keeping the lotto running as much as possible during the year and congratulated the 2 winners of our jackpot in 2020. Noel thanked those who had volunteered their time to work on a number of projects at the club grounds in 2020, including the creation of a walkway around the pitch and the replacement of the Ball Stop net. Noel thanked John Judge who had worked on securing a lease for land beside our grounds which will ensure we have the security of a training field into the future. Noel thanked Brendan Kilcullen who had made his field available to the club up to this point.
The entire committee was re-elected to their positions unopposed.
